But, do not just take my word for it, here is what our current students and alumni had to say about us.

Harry Mishkov, studied International Business Administration

At that time I liked mostly that VUM was different from the other Bulgarian universities in particular that it offered to me a high-quality, internationally-recognized and practically-oriented degree program of a UK University. I was also enjoying the interaction with many of my colleagues and our lecturers with whom the students had the chance to have a personal contact which is often not the case in other Universities. The fact that I was studying entirely in English a program of a British University closely related to the work position for which I was applying was appreciated by my first employer.

Without any hesitation I can say that VUM is a very good choice of a University. It provides with knowledge and skills that few other Institutions for Higher Education in the region could offer and in this differentiates its graduates from the other young people who are entering the job market.
Harry Mishkov, Account Receivables Manager for UCB Switzerland, studied International Business Administration

Hristo, Founder of BestBulgariaDeals; studied Hospitality Management

What I am now is greatly formed throughout my study years. The lectures and the practice I have received helped me to build my goals and establish a strategic vision for the future.

Yordan, 3rd Year Student in Software Engineering

I am currently a 3rd year student of Software Engineering. I have more than 10 years of experience working as a software developer. I like the program very much, it is up-to-date, it is practical, it helps me to develop my skills further. I also have the opportunity to interact with many professional from the industry.

Hannah, 1st Year student at Hospitality and Culinary Arts

I am studying Hospitality and Culinary Arts at Varna University of Management currently. I am here because at one point I want to open a restaurant in Bahamas or somewhere else around the world and this school provides me everything I need for that!

Plamena, Sales Director, Home2U; Master of Business Administration (MBA)

The main reason to choose VUM was that I wanted to avoid the ‘standard’ type of education, to step out of my comfort zone and to build up my knowledge. The time I spent at VUM, I can definitely decsribe as extremely complete and fruitful. Based on that education I have developed the idea of how I would like to position myself on the labor market in the future. The position of Sales Director, that I currently occupy at Home2U Bulgaria implies a wide range of skills, a big part of which I had acquired namely at VUM.

I recommend VUM to all those who wish to combine the constructive competitive environment and the friendly atmosphere, and who wish to lay the foundations of their desired career development.

Linda, Master Student in International Hospitality and  Tourism Management

VUM was a perfect choice for me as it gave me the opportunity to study abroad with other international students where the lectures were taught in English by industry professionals and academics.

Likewise, the price of the course and living expenses in Bulgaria is a fraction of the cost for studies in the US; where I come from.

And, here is what our exchange students had to say about us;

My Erasmus life at Varna University of Management, could be briefly described in 3 words: happy, happier and happiest. The moment at which happiness started was when I knew that I would spend 3 months with more than friends from all over the world as well as had the opportunity to study at VUM, a highly-ranked university in Europe, to widen my eyes and better myself.

“Friends” is the key word of this unforgettable time. The Kazakh, Russian, Armenian, Lebanese, Modolvian, Brazilian, Italian, Portugese, French, Mongolian, Georgian, Uzbek, Tajik, they all are beautiful and inspired me in a way. Hapiness was multipled as we lived, studied, ate, travelled and did all the craziest things together, thanks to which, I, who hardly danced before, have become an “amateur dancer”, a better traveller, overcome my shyness and learnt how to enjoy life in various ways.

And, for sure, happiest is when I recognize now we are a family, a huge Erasmus family. Yes, as I said to my friends, I will always embrace everything we have created together during this summer. I think this world is small enough for us to see each other again oneday.

I cannot thank Erasmus and VUM enough for this opportunity. No matter what happens, I always have a special place in my heart for Erasmus and all the things it have brought to me.

-Nguyen, Vietnam

I had a great semester in Varna/Bulgaria. I had friends from different countries and cultures.İt was great to interact with them. Vum added a lot of thing to me to improve my English in academic sense. Vum is a unique choice to make Erasmus. Thank you very much for being a wonderful host.

-Avsin, Turkey

I came to Bulgaria to experience the Erasmus program. My intention was to explore Bulgaria, but I almost explored the whole Europe by being in a group of multinational Erasmus friends. Erasmus life gave me an amazing and unforgettable experience. In the Erasmus group, I found friends from many different countries and we exchanged cultures, languages and habits with each other now I know a lot about the rest of world and its people.

During Erasmus program besides studying, we had traveled through all Bulgaria and we had a lot of fun.

I think the VUM was the good choice that I made. This university provided a friendly and comfortable environment for the Erasmus students. It had professional and friendly lecturer who were very helpful to Erasmus and full time students both. I learned a lot of knowledge which can be useful for my future.

Consequently, the Erasmus program is an amazing experience and I would like to suggest all students around the world not to miss their chance for this amazing experience.

-Isroil, Tajikistan

I had the honor of spending a semester at VUM, Bulgaria. It has been an unforgettable experience and one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

Everybody has been helpful and kind, so I made many friends. We shared meals, parties, and trips. I felt comfortable all the time and therefore I didn’t miss my home. I met unforgettable people I will miss so much! I hope to cross paths with them again, but just in case I am trying to appreciate each moment together.

-Adel, Jordan

We have been studying at VUM for 4 months now! Bulgaria was a totally new country for both of us and we really didn’t know that much about it.

We already knew before arriving to Bulgaria that the country and its culture is very different comparing to Finland. Bulgaria has bigger population, warmer climate, difficult language and for example Golden Sands and Sunny Beach are full of tourists in the high season.

When arriving to the dormitory, we were pleasantly surprised about it. We got a 2-room appartment that we shared with two other Finnish girls. The first weeks went really fast when buying all the needed stuff to our appartment and getting know to our hometown and it’s surroundings.

We are going back to Finland after two weeks. These past four months include a lot of memories and experiences. While spending this time here in Bulgaria we have made a lot of new friends, learned a bit of Bulgarian (malko), enjoyed an early summer (there is still snowing in Finland), eaten the worlds best sushi in the restaurant Happy, had many different and interesting courses, had some unforgettable parties, made some great trips and got to know to Bulgaria and ourselves better. The time here has taught us many valuable skills that we will need in our futures.

It was a great choice to do our exchange in Bulgaria. We are really grateful for everything to everybody who has been a part of our bolgarski experience!

-Eleonora and Roosa, Finland

I had the honor of spending one semester at Varna University of Management, Bulgaria. It has been an unforgettable experience and one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

Everybody has been helpful and kind, so I made many friends. We shared meals, parties, trips and football matches. I felt comfortable all the time and therefore I didn’t miss my home. I met unforgettable people I will miss so much! I hope to cross paths with them again, but just in case I am trying to appreciate each moment together.

In these months, I learned a lot about their lives, cultures and ways of seeing the world. You can learn from other people, but you can also learn a lot from yourself. Being so far away from your home, away from your friends and mores, will change the way you think. I couldn’t have wished for a better experience. I enjoyed every part of it and I learned more than I ever could have imagined. When the semester is over, everyone will take separate ways. I wish them lots of luck and I hope to see them again in the future.

VUM is a one big family, everyone here knows each other, and always ready to help. Unforgettable atmosphere! Thank you for everything!

In conclusion, I want to say this time in Bulgaria is the best time of the whole my life at this date.
